Inbound voice is now free; outbound drops to KES 3/min
Inbound voice calls are now KES 0/min. Outbound voice drops from KES 4/min to KES 3/min. All other prices unchanged.
Update (2026-07-03): Recording storage was re-tiered after this post was published to 1 GB free with a 24-hour retention window, plus paid tiers of 10 / 40 / 100 GB at KES 599 / 1,999 / 4,999 per month — the storage figures below have been updated to these current tiers. The number-rental figures below are historical; current rates are always at /pricing.
Inbound voice calls are now KES 0/min. Previously KES 2.50/min.
Outbound voice drops from KES 4/min to KES 3/min.
All other prices are unchanged: KES 500/month for a local Kenyan number, KES 750/month for a mobile 07xx number, KES 0.50/min for optional call recording, 1 GB of recording storage included free, and paid storage tiers at KES 599/1,999/4,999 per month for 10/40/100 GB.
Inbound traffic represents a fixed infrastructure cost we can absorb. Charging per minute on inbound calls created friction for builders designing inbound-heavy flows: contact centres, IVR menus, callback queues. Free inbound removes that friction without changing the economics of outbound.
The outbound reduction from KES 4 to KES 3 reflects improved carrier economics on our end. We pass it on directly.
Nothing. Active workspaces bill at the new rates from 2026-06-30 onward. No configuration changes, no plan migration, no action required.
If you have hardcoded rate assumptions in your own codebase (cost estimates, margin calculations, pricing pages for your own customers), those will need updating.
Current rates are always available at GET /v1/public/pricing and at /pricing.
