Questions.
- Is the SautiKit Phone app free?
- Yes. The apps are free to download. You pay for the number — KES 116 a month including VAT — and for outbound calls at KES 3.00 a minute, billed per second. Inbound calls are free.
- How do I sign in to SautiKit Phone?
- In the Sautikit console, open your number, go to SIP & Devices, choose + Add device and pick an app device. The console shows a six-digit connection code, valid for ten minutes. Type it into the app once, on each device.
- Can one business number ring on several devices?
- Yes. A line can have several devices connected — a laptop, an Android phone and an iPhone, for example — and an incoming call rings on all of them.
- Do I need a PBX, a licence or an installer?
- No. The number, the calling minutes and the apps come from one prepaid Sautikit wallet, topped up with M-Pesa or card. A PBX licence such as 3CX sells no numbers or minutes, so it still needs a SIP trunk and usually a reseller to install it.
- Can I keep my existing desk phones?
- Yes. Any desk phone, softphone or PBX that registers with a SIP username and password can use a Sautikit number. The SIP server is sip.sautikit.com on port 5080 over UDP.
- Is the iPhone app on the App Store?
- Not yet. iPhone and Mac use the same TestFlight beta, which you can join from this page. Web, Android and Windows are released.
