ABOUT SAUTIKIT

Programmable voice, built in Nairobi.

SautiKit gives developers one API for Kenyan phone numbers, calls, webhooks, and a prepaid KES wallet. We are building from Nairobi for teams that need programmable voice in Kenya.

What is Sautikit?

SautiKit is a programmable voice API, live in Kenya. Provision a local phone number, handle calls with code, receive webhooks, and use managed voice agents or outbound broadcasts. It also handles IVR menus, call recording, browser calling over WebRTC, and realtime audio streams for your own voice model.

A Kenyan number costs KES 100 per month before VAT (KES 116 including VAT). Usage bills per second from a prepaid KES wallet with M-Pesa top-ups, and inbound calls are free. Call flows return JSON from your webhook or Twilio-style XML; start with the REST API, Node SDK, or hosted MCP server.

Why we started

Building voice in Africa has always meant carrier contracts, SIP hardware, and integrations that differ in every market. A developer in Kenya who just wants to call a customer back shouldn't have to become a telecoms engineer first.

So we built Sautikit: programmable phone numbers, calls and routing behind a single REST API, with a prepaid wallet that tops up the way Kenya already pays: M-Pesa. No carrier contracts. No platform fees. Calls bill per second from your wallet.

What we value

API-first

Numbers, calls, webhooks, and wallet operations are available through the API and documented by behavior.

Clear billing

The prepaid wallet records balances and charges in KES so call spend is visible in one place.

Kenya first

Kenyan phone numbers, KES billing, and M-Pesa top-ups are the foundation of the product.
