ElevenLabs Agents, Vapi, Retell AI, LiveKit and Ultravox all accept phone calls over SIP, so any of them can run on a Kenyan number from Sautikit. The setup has two halves. Inbound: set your Sautikit number to forward to the platform's SIP address (for example +254709000000@sip.rtc.elevenlabs.io:5060), and the caller reaches your agent. Outbound: give the platform sip.sautikit.com, port 5080, transport UDP, and the SIP username and password from your number's SIP & Devices tab, and the agent's calls go out on the Kenyan network with your number as caller ID. A Sautikit number costs KES 500 a month, inbound calls are free and outbound calls cost KES 3.00 a minute billed per second, paid from a prepaid KES wallet.
AI voice platforms are built to talk, not to run a phone network. Most sell numbers in a handful of countries and expect everyone else to "bring your own carrier" over SIP. For a Kenyan business that leaves two options: route calls through a foreign number your customers will not call, or connect a Kenyan number from a local provider.
Sautikit is that local provider. You claim a Kenyan number in seconds from the console, with no contract or setup fee, and it can hand its calls to any SIP address.
| Platform | Inbound: forward your Sautikit number to | Outbound: what the platform needs | Guide |
|---|
| ElevenLabs Agents | +2547…@sip.rtc.elevenlabs.io:5060 | Address sip.sautikit.com:5080, UDP, username, password | ElevenLabs guide |
| Vapi | +2547…@<credential-id>.sip.vapi.ai | BYO SIP trunk credential, gateway sip.sautikit.com port 5080 UDP, username, password | Vapi guide |
| Retell AI | +2547…@sip.retellai.com | Termination URI sip.sautikit.com:5080;transport=udp, username, password | Retell guide |
| LiveKit | +2547…@<project>.sip.livekit.cloud | Outbound trunk, address sip.sautikit.com:5080, UDP, username, password | LiveKit guide |
| Ultravox | agent_<agent-id>@<your SIP domain> | sip:+2547…@sip.sautikit.com:5080 as the call's to, with username and password | below |
Every platform in the table supports G.711 (PCMU and PCMA) and lets you run without SRTP media encryption, which is what Sautikit's SIP service uses.
When a customer dials your Kenyan number, Sautikit answers it on the Kenyan network and forwards it over SIP to the address you set as the number's Forward destination. Type the address without a sip: prefix. The phone number before the @ tells the platform which agent should answer, so it must match the number exactly as you added it on the platform.
Some platforms only accept SIP traffic from IP addresses you list. Vapi requires it. Allow the address sip.sautikit.com resolves to (62.12.113.167 as of November 2026) and re-check it with dig +short sip.sautikit.com before go-live.
Each Sautikit number can have several SIP credentials, one per device or system. Create one for the AI platform under Numbers → your number → SIP & Devices → + Add device. The platform sends each outbound call to sip.sautikit.com:5080 and answers Sautikit's authentication challenge with that username and password. Sautikit then places the call and presents your number as caller ID, so nobody can send calls from a number you do not own.
Destinations must be in E.164 format (+254…). Most platforms send that by default.
Ultravox takes the same two halves through its API. For inbound, add Sautikit's IP to your Ultravox SIP allowlist and forward the number to agent_<agent-id>@<your account SIP domain>. For outbound, start a call with a SIP medium whose to is sip:+254711000000@sip.sautikit.com:5080, with your Sautikit SIP username and password. Ultravox uses UDP by default.

| SIP credentials | Included |
| Payment | Prepaid KES wallet, M-Pesa or card |
The AI platform charges separately for its own minutes. A 2-minute outbound call through Sautikit costs KES 6.00; a 45-second one costs KES 2.25.
Sautikit runs managed AI agents on the number itself. Write the agent's brief, publish it and bind it to the number: no SIP trunk, no second account and one bill in KES. Agent time is KES 4.00 a minute, metered per second, on top of the call rate. You set each agent's maximum call length; the default is 15 minutes. Teams running their own model can also stream live call audio to their own server with the Stream voice action (how to build an AI voice agent).
- Place a test call in each direction: mobile to your number, and agent to your mobile.
- Confirm the caller ID on your mobile shows the Sautikit number.
- Check the number's call history in the Sautikit console shows both calls.
Each platform renames fields now and then. If a label in your dashboard differs from the guide, look for the same value: server sip.sautikit.com, port 5080, UDP, your SIP username and password.
Yes. Import a Sautikit number into ElevenLabs as a SIP trunk number, forward the number to sip.rtc.elevenlabs.io, and set sip.sautikit.com:5080 as the outbound address. Steps are in the ElevenLabs guide.
The connection between the phone network and the AI platform. Calls to your number are delivered to the platform over SIP, and the platform's outbound calls go through the trunk to real phones.
UDP on port 5080 at sip.sautikit.com, with a username and password per credential.
No. Sautikit forwards calls straight to the platform's SIP address and accepts the platform's outbound calls directly.
KES 500 a month for the number. Inbound calls are free on Sautikit and outbound calls are KES 3.00 a minute, billed per second. The AI platform bills its own usage.
