## What's new

A supervisor can now join a live call between a customer and one of your agents to **listen**, **whisper** to the agent without the customer hearing, or **barge** into the conversation, and switch between the three without redialling. See [Supervise live calls](/developers/guides/supervise-live-calls).

- **The API.** Four operations on a call, addressed by its UUID or `HD_` session id: [start](/developers/api/startCallSupervision), [change mode](/developers/api/changeCallSupervisionMode), [stop](/developers/api/stopCallSupervision) and [read](/developers/api/getCallSupervision). The supervisor can be a browser, a SIP device or a phone number, with an optional tone for the agent or both parties. API keys need the new `calls.supervise` scope.
- **The SDKs.** `@sautikit/node` adds `calls.supervise()`, `calls.setSupervisionMode()`, `calls.stopSupervision()` and `calls.getSupervision()`. `@sautikit/webrtc` adds `client.supervise()`, which answers the supervisor leg in the browser automatically, and a `supervision` event on the agent's side so your app can show who is listening.
- **The events.** Five workspace webhooks follow each supervision: [`call.supervision.ringing`](/developers/webhooks/call-supervision-ringing), [`started`](/developers/webhooks/call-supervision-started), [`mode_changed`](/developers/webhooks/call-supervision-mode-changed), [`ended`](/developers/webhooks/call-supervision-ended) and [`failed`](/developers/webhooks/call-supervision-failed).

## Pricing

A supervisor leg is billed from answer to leave: **KES 0.50 a minute**, metered per second, from a browser or SIP device, or your normal outbound rate when the supervisor is on a phone number. It shows on your statement as its own line. Current prices are always at [/pricing](/pricing).
