## What changed

A workspace that brings its own carrier through a [SIP trunk](/developers/concepts/numbers#bring-your-own-sip-trunk) now pays **KES 2,000 a month** for the trunk, taken from the wallet.

- **When a trunk goes live**, the first charge covers the rest of that month.
- **After that, it renews on the 1st** of each month.
- **Numbers on the trunk still carry no rent**, however many you add.
- **Calls are billed per minute**, as before.
- **If a charge leaves the wallet below zero** and it is still below zero 72 hours later, the trunk is paused. Calls stop, but the trunk and its numbers are kept. Top up and it switches back on within the hour.

Trunks that are already live are first charged on **1 October 2026**.
