## Summary

Cloud One is a Nairobi provider of SIP trunks, virtual numbers and hosted 3CX. Its Kenyan numbers are sold only to SIP trunk customers: on its own virtual-numbers page, Cloud One says they "are not offered as a standalone service". Its pay-as-you-go trunk is issued on a one-year term, starts with an application form, and is deployed within 24 hours after KYC. Sautikit sells the number on its own: claim a Kenyan number in the console and it is live in minutes, at KES 500 a month, with free inbound calls and outbound calls at KES 3.00 a minute billed per second. The number comes with SIP credentials for any PBX, the SautiKit Phone apps, call routing, AI agents, broadcasts and a voice API, all paid from one prepaid KES wallet you top up with M-Pesa or card.

All Cloud One details on this page were read from cloudone.co on 5 November 2026. Check the live pages before you commit.

## The number is the product

Cloud One's virtual-numbers page is clear about the model: you subscribe to a SIP trunk and receive numbers in line with its size, so a 4-call trunk includes four numbers and an 8-call trunk includes eight. Its steps to get a number are to complete the SIP trunk application form, choose numbers, then deposit talk time "to receive incoming calls".

A trunk's size is also its ceiling. A 4-call trunk carries four calls at the same moment; while all four are in use, the fifth cannot get through, inbound or outbound. Growing means moving to a bigger trunk.

That suits an office that already runs a PBX and wants several lines on one contract. It is a lot of process for a business that wants one number for its customer line, or a number per branch, sales agent or client.

On Sautikit, the number is what you buy. Claim one, two or twenty from the console or the API; each is KES 500 a month and can be released when you no longer need it. There is no trunk to size first, no channel count to outgrow, and no deposit to hold before calls can come in.

## Setup time

Cloud One's pay-as-you-go trunk lists deployment "within 24hrs after completing to KYC requirements", after an application form.

On Sautikit you sign up, claim a number, and place a call from the SautiKit Phone app or forward the number to your mobile in the same session. If you run a PBX, the number's **SIP & Devices** tab gives you a username and password for `sip.sautikit.com` on port 5080; step-by-step guides cover [3CX](/developers/guides/connect-3cx), [FreePBX](/developers/guides/connect-freepbx), [Grandstream UCM](/developers/guides/connect-grandstream-ucm), [Yeastar](/developers/guides/connect-yeastar) and [Avaya IP Office](/developers/guides/connect-avaya-ip-office).

## Price

Both providers charge nothing for inbound calls and KES 3 a minute for outbound calls to Kenyan networks. The difference is in what you commit to before the first call:

- **Sautikit:** KES 500 a month per number, no setup fee, no contract, billed per second from a prepaid wallet.
- **Cloud One:** a SIP trunk on a one-year term, sized by simultaneous calls, with a talk-time deposit. Its shop lists the trunk with "Contact Us" for pricing.

For a business that needs a handful of numbers and does not want a year's commitment, Sautikit's line-by-line pricing is simpler to budget and easier to scale down.

## More than a line

A Sautikit number is also the start of everything else you might want to do with calls:

- **AI agents** that answer the number, take messages, qualify leads or book appointments, at KES 4.00 a minute. See [AI agents](/ai-agents).
- **Broadcasts** that call a contact list with a recorded or spoken message. See [Broadcasts](/broadcasts).
- **A voice API** with JSON call control and webhooks for your own software, documented at [/developers](/developers).
- **A hosted MCP server** so an AI assistant such as Claude can look up calls, manage numbers and place calls for you, with your confirmation before anything is spent. See [/mcp](/mcp).
- **Voice AI platforms:** forward the number to [ElevenLabs](/developers/guides/connect-elevenlabs-agents), [Vapi](/developers/guides/connect-vapi), [Retell](/developers/guides/connect-retell) or [LiveKit](/developers/guides/connect-livekit).

Cloud One's strength is managed PBX installs for offices that want a partner to run them (how box, software and cloud PBX costs compare is in [PBX systems in Kenya](/blog/pbx-system-kenya)); if that is what you need and you already have a PBX, a Sautikit number can still be its trunk, without the contract.

## Pick Sautikit if

- You want one or a few Kenyan numbers without a SIP trunk contract.
- You want to start today, online, rather than after an application and KYC wait.
- You pay with M-Pesa and want a prepaid wallet you control.
- You want AI agents, broadcasts or an API on the same number.
- You run 3CX, FreePBX or Yeastar and want a trunk you can set up yourself in ten minutes.

## FAQ

### Can I buy a Cloud One virtual number without a SIP trunk?

No. Cloud One's virtual-numbers page says its numbers are available only to SIP trunk customers and are not offered as a standalone service. Sautikit sells a Kenyan number on its own at KES 500 a month.

### How long does Cloud One take to set up?

Cloud One lists deployment within 24 hours after KYC, following an application form. A Sautikit number is live in minutes after you claim it online.

### How many calls at once can a Cloud One trunk carry?

As many as its size: a 4-call trunk carries four simultaneous calls and an 8-call trunk eight. The next call cannot get through until one ends. Sautikit numbers have no channel count to buy.

### Does Cloud One have a contract?

Its pay-as-you-go SIP trunk is issued on a one-year term. Sautikit has no contract; numbers are monthly and can be released.

### Are Cloud One and Sautikit call rates the same?

Both charge KES 3 a minute for outbound calls to Kenyan networks and nothing for inbound calls. Sautikit bills per second from a prepaid KES wallet.

### Can I use Sautikit with my 3CX instead of Cloud One?

Yes. Every Sautikit number has SIP credentials for `sip.sautikit.com` on port 5080. See [Connect 3CX to a Kenyan SIP trunk](/developers/guides/connect-3cx).
